Our dental team provides a comprehensive range of restorative dental services. In other words, we’re architects of teeth, and our belief in continuing education keeps us up to date with the latest trends and technology. Learn more about our solutions below:

Consultations

We know that it is essential for patients to feel absolutely comfortable when choosing a dentist as well as a “dental home”. We invite you to visit our office and, with no obligation or pressure, discuss your individual needs and desires for a beautiful smile.

Diagnostics

In order to insure success in our procedures, we take the necessary time to fully and thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. We use the appropriate diagnostic tools such as digital radiographs, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, cancer screening, and aesthetic evaluations. Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come.

Hygiene Therapy

We believe a good foundation is the key to optimal oral health, therefore, our periodontal care is of utmost priority. We customize hygiene therapy to properly care for your specific periodontal (gums & bone) needs. Whether a six month checkup or full periodontal therapy, our hygienists will always strive to provide the very best treatment while maintaining your absolute comfort.

Our hygienists provide therapeutic irrigation under the gums with an all natural herbal solution containing rejuvenating essential oils.

Fillings

Modern dentistry has allowed us the pleasure of combining beauty as well as strength when filling teeth. We take pride in “restoring” teeth to as close to their original strength and appearance with composite resins and ceramics.

Implants

Dental implants offer a permanent solution to missing teeth. With implants, chewing and speech are restored or improved and a permanent natural appearance is achieved. Dental implants are the only proven way to maintain existing jawbone and prevent bone shrinkage and atrophy which occurs when teeth are missing.

Crowns

Dentistry in Aurora has been providing all-ceramic bridges without metal for many years. Bridges are fixed, or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. The teeth on either side of the existing space are used to anchor the bridge to restore functionality as well as aesthetics.

Crowns are used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth that have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to over-sized old fillings or fractures. There are a variety of materials used to construct these and we are pleased to produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth.

All-Ceramic Crowns, Inlays and Onlays are conveniently provided in one appointment instead of two by our CEREC CAD/CAM* machine. No messy impressions of your teeth and no temporary crown or filling is required between appointments.

Laser Dentistry

At Dentistry in Aurora we are proud to bring one of the newest, most precise and versatile tools available to dentistry today. We are one of the first offices in Ontario to have the KAVO Key 3 + Laser.

A Dental Laser is a beam of highly concentrated light energy of a specific
wavelength. The precision and extreme intensity of the light has specific and
predictable reactions when it comes in contact with hard or soft tissues.

We have incorporated many everyday procedures using the laser while reducing
bleeding, anxiety and post-treatment recovery times. The beauty of dental laser
treatment is that it is less invasive and therefore with minimal trauma to the
surrounding tissue than traditional techniques – which means less discomfort and
pain.

Here are some of the benefits associated with laser dentistry:

  • Faster healing and tissue regeneration.
  • Preservation of more of the natural tooth.
  • Reduced bleeding during and after treatment.
  • Reduced need for anesthesia.
  • Reduced need for stitches and sutures.
  • Reduced risk of bacterial infections after procedures.

Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy

The precision of the KAVO Key 3+ laser is what makes it able to detect and remove tartar and debris below the gum line and sterilize the pockets. This allows the gums to reattach to the tooth and at the same time, shrink the pockets to a manageable level for ease of patient home care. Most patients do not require local anesthetic. Long-term studies have shown bone growth in Laser treated areas. This is a first for dentistry. The procedure takes approximately one hour depending on how many areas are to be treated, and some deeper areas may need to be treated more than once. This technique is an alternative to surgery, Most patients tolerate the procedure very well. Some may experience mild to moderate sensitivity and bleeding around the gums for up to a week after treatment. Most patients do not report any symptoms at all. Patients usually respond very favorably with proper home care and use of homeopathic remedies. Any questions on Laser treatments can be discussed with your dentist or dental hygienist.
